Email Consultation about Repair

Describe the electronic equipment you are experiencing problems with and provide as much relevant information as possible, including the manufacturer, model and part numbers, symptoms, error codes, circuit details, schematics and clear photographs.

Our technicians will review your submission and determine whether the equipment is a suitable candidate for evaluation. If accepted, you will receive a repair-request number and shipping instructions. Please do not ship equipment until these instructions have been provided.

The customer is responsible for securely packaging the equipment, purchasing shipping insurance for its full replacement value and including a prepaid, insured return-shipping label.

Precision Repair and Return Shipping

Once the circuit board arrives at our mail-in repair facility, our technicians review the information provided, analyze available schematics and perform advanced component-level diagnostics. This evaluation is used to identify the root cause of the failure, determine the extent of the damage, confirm replacement-component availability and prepare an estimated repair cost.

We then email our findings and repair estimate to you for review. No repair work is performed without your approval. Once authorized, we complete the repair and test the circuit board to the extent technically possible. After the repair payment has been processed, the circuit board is securely packaged and returned using the customer-provided prepaid shipping label. The return shipment must include insurance covering the circuit board’s full replacement value.

Customer Validation and Burn-In Period

After receiving the repaired circuit board, the customer reinstalls it in the original equipment and tests it under normal operating conditions. This customer validation and burn-in period confirms that the repaired circuit performs properly within the complete system and under its actual operating load.

The repair warranty covers only the parts installed by AlienTronics and the labor performed during the authorized repair. Shipping expenses and insurance are not covered by the warranty and remain the customer’s responsibility for all inbound and return shipments. Every shipment must be insured by the customer for the circuit board’s full replacement value.
